The Walter Rand Institute (WRI) has been chosen by the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New Jersey to staff the Prevention Boards in three cities (Camden, Trenton, and Vineland). The Prevention Boards are recognized as the city-wide youth prevention planning body in each municipality. WRI provides logistical and technical assistance to these communities. WRI utilizes city wide data to create a picture of the current prevention system, available resources, and the risk and protective factors affecting juveniles within each community. Gaps, redundancy and areas of improvement will be highlighted. From this information, recommendations will be made to improve the current prevention system in each municipality.
