At this month’s meeting of the Cumberland County Positive Youth Development Coalition, the Executive Committee unveiled its selection for a new logo from a pool of nine submissions drawn up by Cumberland County Technical School students. As suggested by Dr. Dina Elliot, Cumberland County Board of Vocational Education Superintendent and CCPYDC member, each student in the afternoon Graphic Design class was given background information about the Coalition along with some preliminary sketches before submitting their own draft designs for the committee’s consideration. The students are: Samantha Arendt, Shrya Calhoun, Bryan Hernandez, Gabriel Jackson, Brittany Santiago, Nathaniel Santiago, James Sutton, Alexander Weems, and Eric Widing.

The Committee ultimately chose Brittany Santiago’s design and presented it at the meeting with the students in attendance. They were given a declaration of thanks from the Cumberland County Freeholders presented by Freeholder Director, Joe Derella, who is also a Coalition Member.
