In an effort to effect more original research about Southern New Jersey while amplifying the education and professional experiences of Rutgers University – Camden students, the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs welcomes applications for its endowed graduate scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship for Southern New Jersey Initiatives at the Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs provides a $1,500 contribution toward a graduate student’s tuition at Rutgers University–Camden and supports his/her research on an issue impacting southern New Jersey by awarding a paid research internship with the Walter Rand Institute for the upcoming academic year.

The graduate scholarship is open to any full-time graduate student, currently enrolled and in good standing (3.5 GPA or higher) at Rutgers University – Camden, who exemplifies interest and growing expertise in public affairs that impact Southern New Jersey.  Seed funding for the scholarship was generously raised and contributed by WRI’s Advisory Board.

The full application can be found on WRI’s website and submissions for the ’17-’18 academic year are due by February 1, 2017.
