Additionally, WRI has included information on the top five largest employers in each county and projected employment changes by industry for 2014-2024. The two largest projected areas of growth in the region are construction and arts, entertainment, and recreation. Construction is a top-five area of growth in 7 out of 8 South Jersey counties, while arts, entertainment and recreation is a top-five area of growth in all 8 counties. In contrast, the region is projected to see large decreases in manufacturing and information jobs. The information sector is predicted to be one of the 4 sectors with the largest percentage of decrease in all 8 counties. In 7 out of the 8 South Jersey counties, manufacturing will rank in the bottom 4 employment sectors in terms of largest employment decreases from 2014-2024.
The infographics are easily accessible charts and graphs that capture data and trends in housing, land use, income and economic factors, education, crime, voter turnout, and health.
