As the region, state and nation grapple with how best to address our persistent and growing drug crisis, an understanding of the potential costs and benefits of different approaches should be central to the conversation. WRI is working to provide just that.

Recovery Reform Now has commissioned WRI to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of various strategies to address nonviolent drug offenders. The Institute will analyze the cost and benefits of incarceration, from apprehension through release, as well as the cost and benefits of various stages of diversion, treatment, and job training and placement. The study will focus on South Jersey, and Camden County in particular. WRI is proud to be engaged in this important research.
