In partnership with the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s office, WRI delivered the strategic plan for CC THRIVE, a federally funded effort to address youth gang and gun violence in Cumberland County.

The culmination of a collective process of the CC THRIVE Steering Committee, the plan will guide the first two years of this critical initiative and build sustainable action in the county.

The steering committee, led by Freeholder Director Joe Derella, Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, and Bridgeton Mayor Albert Kelly, is made up of a diverse cross-section education, law enforcement, government agency, nonprofit and community leaders. Their collective input and extensive knowledge in the areas of prevention, intervention and treatment, suppression and reentry was integral in delivering a comprehensive, inclusive plan.

Over the next two years as CC THRIVE launches into action, WRI will continue to play a role in moving this critical work forward. Learn more about CC Thrive, leave your feedback here, or stay informed here.
