Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs denounces all forms of racism. We are outraged and saddened by the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and countless others, along with systemic injustices against Black people and people of color in our country. At WRI, Black Lives Matter. Brown Lives Matter.
We see the heartbreak, anger, and despair across the country and stand in solidarity for change.
We believe that it is within our power as a society, as institutions and individuals, to right these historic wrongs. There are promising efforts and proposals to reform policing and criminal justice, health, housing, banking, and education that can help lead us toward a more just and equitable America. WRI is engaged in this work and proud to partner with many organizations driving meaningful solutions.
As an applied research and policy center dedicated to the well-being of all people in southern New Jersey and across the state, we remain committed to this work and will continue to increase our efforts to foster equity and address the injustices that people of color have endured for too long. We invite you to join us.
