Mario & Gisele DiNatale co-founded the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF), a nonprofit serving children and youth battling life-threatening illnesses. We are proud to recognize their service and leadership as the 2019 “South Jerseyans” in the nonprofit sector.
On December 15, 2014, Ms. Cruz Pérez was sworn in as State Senator for New Jersey’s Fifth Legislative District. Since then, she has demonstrated a relentless commitment to public service and we are proud to recognize the Senator as the public sector 2019 South Jerseyan of the Year.
WRI has awarded its Inaugural Endowed Graduate Fellowship for South Jersey Initiatives to Nathaniel Merrill. Nathaniel is a doctoral student in the Computational and Integrative Biology program at Rutgers-Camden.
On April 26th, 2018, WRI held its 17th Annual Walter and Leah Rand Awards and Scholarship Dinner. The event was held at The Merion, with more than 170 people in attendance.
On April 5, 2018 Walter Rand Institute Faculty Fellow Michael Hayes presented findings from his report at WRI’s Forum About South Jersey. More than 80 people attended the Forum to learn about the distribution of state funds to municipalities across New Jersey.
