The American Society of Criminology is an international organization whose members pursue scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the measurement, etiology, consequences, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and delinquency. The Society conducts an annual meeting devoted to discussions of topics of general interest. Recent meeting themes have included: Taking Stock: Current Knowledge and Future Priorities, The Causes and Consequences of Crime: Multidisciplinary Contributions, and Criminology, Justice, and Public Policy in the Twenty-First Century.
WRI will be presenting two posters at the event: Plugging the School-to-Prison Pipeline and Stationhouse Adjustment: Keeping Youth Out of the Juvenile Justice System.
