Kristin is an experienced researcher, analyst, and program evaluator with over fourteen years of experience at the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs (WRI) at Rutgers-Camden. During her tenure at WRI, Kristin has contributed meaningfully to its mission and evolved her scope of practice and leadership. She has managed multiple projects across a variety of content areas, designing and overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data that serve Rutgers, as well as community and government/non-profit partners. For example, Kristin collaborated with many coalitions and organizations across the Southern New Jersey region, fostering relationships to support healthcare institutions in Southern New Jersey through co-leading the completion of their Community Health Needs Assessments. Kristin believes that community is at the heart of informing policy, systems, and environmental change, and partnering with community organizations to use evidence and data more effectively is the key to promoting equity and improving lives in New Jersey. External partners describe Kristin as personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly effective – always going the extra mile, exceeding expectations, and being a strong thought partner. WRI colleagues describe Kristin as an advocate, leader, and thoroughly resourceful. Kristin is dedicated to social science research methods and consistently mentors her colleagues and WRI’s student research assistants. Kristin’s research areas include social service delivery, juvenile justice, prisoner re-entry, population health, gender and crime, and resilience in high-risk situations. Kristin received her B.A. and M.A. in Criminal Justice from Rutgers – Camden in 2007 and 2010.
